The achievements of a total of 51 employees of South Ayrshire Council who have served continuously within local authorities for at least 25 years have been officially recognised at a special reception held in their honour.

The staff members - all currently employed within the Council’s Departments of Education, Culture and Lifelong Learning and Development, Safety and Regulation, together with the Chief Executive’s Department - were presented with certificates to mark the occasion by the Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Andy Hill.

Responsibilities

Councillor Hill, who pointed out that he knew many of the assembled guests personally, told them: “You represent totally varied professional, technical and craft abilities, a vast range of job titles, and many different responsibilities within South Ayrshire Council.

"Of course you have one common factor - your years of Local Authority service. I really am delighted to pay tribute to all the employees here tonight, and to thank you for your endeavours over the past 25 years or more.”

Following the presentation of Certificates, the employees enjoyed a light buffet.
