Terry Reaches His Goal

Army corporal Terry Twining has reached his goal of an epic 600-mile run between the grounds of every English Premiership football team.
Raising funds for those orphaned by the 11 September atrocities, Corporal Twining, aged 29, and based in Northern Ireland, started his 20-team tour at Newcastle United and Sunderland, before working his way through Middlesborough and Leeds, across to Blackburn, Bolton, Manchester and Liverpool, and south to Birmingham, London, and Southampton.
Running 600 miles in three weeks - at 28 miles every day, more than a marathon - has required meticulous planning on his part. Two Army colleagues acted as his support team, and he was been well advised by a military doctor and a physical training instructor in preparing himself for the ordeal.
En route, he collected memorabilia from the football clubs, which will be auctioned at a charity gala at the end of the season. Nor is Terry neglecting the simplest form of charity collection: he and his colleagues have also been visiting the local shopping areas, with collection buckets.
