KT Tunstall releases a new single from her ‘top ten’ album Eye To The Telescope.
Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall
Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has released her third single: Suddenly I See - the latest lead track to be lifted from her platinum selling ‘top ten’ debut album Eye To The Telescope.
Suddenly I See comes hot on the heels of KT's last single Other Side of the World, which reached Number 3 in the UK’s Airplay Chart. Her debut single Black Horse & The Cherry Tree was also a ‘top ten’ airplay record - going on to reach Number 1 in both Italy and Ireland.
KT has now played live to over 150,000 people during her own sell-out tours, with Suddenly I See becoming a particular favourite of her fans.

"This song was inspired by the picture of Patti Smith on the Horses cover," says KT. "The black and white one with her in a man's suit with the jacket over her shoulder. I realised that this image had really stuck with me from seeing it years ago. I remember thinking, 'that's what I want to be when I grow up' - despite being in my mid-20s at the time. You know, when growing up becomes much more about getting wise. I adore the sound of this song - it tickles my hillbilly leanings. We used this instrument called a cajon, it’s a Spanish slapbox, which gives it that junkyard acoustic feel."
The single comprises two versions of this catchy number – the full album version of the track – and on the ‘b’ side (in old money) an instrumental of the same – which shows off the aforementioned cajon sounds – and draws the listeners attention to just how much KT's voice effectively acts as a powerful instrument in it’s own right.
