A neat pop taster from this 19 year old singing sensation's second album - Hotel Paper.

Are You Happy Now by Michelle Branch.

.Michelle Branch returns to the racks of your local music emporium with Are You Happy Now - a cracking taster from her forthcoming second long player - Hotel Paper.

Are You Happy Now finds Michelle on top-form and in fine voice, adding a powerful edge of rock to her distinctive brand of classy-pop. Her natural flair for songwriting has developed with increased maturity and the end result is as mesmerising as it is addictive.

Debut

Michele’s debut single Everywhere was an international hit and provided her with her first UK Top 20 single. The debut album from which it was drawn - The Spirit Room - won her widespread praise and went on to sell in excess of a million copies in the US.

The powerful ballad All You Wanted is one of the highlights of The Spirit Room. Written by Michelle, the song demonstrates she is a fully accomplished songwriter, yet still manages to flow with radiant energy and charisma. The track recently hit number 7 in the US single charts and reached number 5 on US radio.

The Spirit Room was awarded Four Stars by Q magazine and remains a big seller in the US over half a year since its initial release. Having been awarded platinum status for sales of over a million in the US alone, the album has now also been certified 'Gold' in Japan.

Now Michelle is set to release her second album, Hotel Paper - the follow-up to her well-received debut. Hotel Paper maintains the high level of songwriting that Michelle achieved with her debut and adds extra depth and sophistication - to produce a mesmerising and infectious showcase of Michelle’s talent as both a singer and a songwriter.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Still just 19 years old, Michelle has experienced so much. Since the release of Everywhere, Michelle has been relentlessly busy: from performing on TV’s Buffy The Vampire Slayer, having Everywhere featured on the soundtrack to hit teen movie American Pie 2, making her London live debut at Sway and playing basketball with Robbie Williams! She also sang on Santana’s Top 20 hit single Game Of Love. Make no mistake; it certainly hasn’t been an average year for Michelle Branch.

Working with producer John Shanks (BB Mak) and mixer Chris Lord-Alge (Jewel, Faith Hill), highlights of Hotel Paper include the single Are You Happy Now, the future-hit Love Me Like That (featuring a guest appearance by Sheryl Crow) and the accomplished pop of Breathe. Other brand new songs on the record include Find Your Way Back and Empty Handed.

Michelle has also embarked upon a major US tour as guests to The Dixie Chicks.
