The spirit of Royal Trux meets PJ Harvey to create a unique third sound in The Kills. Coming soon to a town near you.

Pull A U by The Kills

The Kills release Pull A U, the second - and final - single from their acclaimed debut album Keep On Your Mean Side.

The Kills have been wowing and unsettling audiences in equal measure over the last 12 months. Following extensive dates worldwide and an explosive tour with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, they return to the UK for their own headline dates.

Anyone who has seen them live, be it supporting Primal Scream or Yeah Yeah Yeahs, on their own headline European tour or more recently at the Reading/Leeds Carling Weekender will attest to their unique on stage presence. The intense, disconcerting chemistry of VV and Hotel is the physical embodiment of the scuzzed up bluesy rock blasting from the speakers, leaving their audiences breathless...

The single is backed with their cover of the criminally-overlooked The Search For Cherry Red from Jonathan Fire*Eater. The band's great, sleazy debut album Keep On Your Mean Side has sold in excess of 30,000 copies in the UK since its release in March. The track is a brilliant marriage of VVs desperate tones and an immediate riff, producing three minutes of dirty rock that begs to be turned up loud.

In addition the band have just played their biggest London gig to date headlining at the Astoria as part of Domino’s 10th anniversary celebrations, following it up with a series of further dates across the country.

If you are still yet to witness their utterly gripping live performance, now is definitely the time to right that wrong! Their tight, coiled take on the history of rock’n’roll is a thrilling and unsettling spectacle from start to finish be it live or on record. Pull A U is out now and it’s time for you to see what all the fuss is about.

Pull A U is out now, as a 7" only - from Domino - as is the album Keep On Your Mean Side and former single Fried My Little Brains.
