The people behind the Hello Kitty sensation are launching a new VHS and DVD collection, to celebrate the small white cats’ birthday.

She may not look three decades old but it’s true. Hello Kitty, the animated superstar who has created a worldwide phenomenon amongst females of all ages, celebrates her 30th birthday with the launch of Hello Kitty and Friends by Mosaic Entertainment on DVD. Hello Kitty and Friends features brand new episodes, which have never been seen before and is an absolute must-have for any self-respecting Hello Kitty fan.

The first two titles to be released as part of a collectable series of seven (see below for the next batch of releases) are Hello Kitty and Friends – Heidi and Hello Kitty and Friends – Alice in Wonderland. They star the adorable Kitty and her fun loving friends Keroppi, Pekkle and Pochacco to name but a few.

Kitty and her companions enchant us all with their tales of Heidi, Robin Hood, Our Treasure and Find the Secret Treasure in Hello Kitty and Friends – Heidi.

Hello Kitty and Friends – Alice in Wonderland finds Kitty and chums in the adventures of Alice in Wonderland, The Frogs’ Secret House and The Great Swimming Race.

Originally created by Japanese company Sanrio in 1974 as a greeting card character, Hello Kitty quickly became a huge household name in Japan and the US.

After expanding into children’s merchandising and fashion, Hello Kitty suddenly became a worldwide brand that won a legion of fans. Her cute and girly look is adored by young girls and teenagers as well as celebrities who love her ultimate kitsch fashion look.
