Liberation Entertainment releases a rare treat for fans of The Beatles in the shape of Rare And Unseen: The Beatles - a new unofficial DVD account of the biggest band in the world made up of recently unearthed home movie footage and personal photographs and memorabilia from private collections. This all new documentary special tells the true story of The Beatles – from humble beginnings in Liverpool, to their break-up at the end of the 1960s.

Their story is told for the very first time using original rare film and video of the band, including home movies, concert footage, newsreels and photographs from private collections. There are also interviews with those who surrounded the band, and those who were there from the very start. Also included is an exclusive interview with fan and star in his own right - Genesis drummer and some time frontman Phil Collins.

For the first time we can see The Beatles relaxed, at play, on and off stage, on film and is a rare glimpse inside the lives of four musicians who shook the world.

This new DVD includes:

  • The earliest known footage of The Beatles filmed on stage in Liverpool in February 1962

  • The only existing film of The Beatles on tour in Scotland, recorded at Caird Hall, Dundee in October 1964

  • Material shot in the Bahamas in February 1965 during the filming of the bands' third feature film Help!

  • Footage from September 1967 in Newquay whilst filming television special Magical Mystery Tour

  • Home movie footage from the groups' appearance at Paris Olympia Theatre January in 1964

  • Highlights of a fascinating interview with John Lennon recorded in New York for French TV
