Sirloin Steak prepared with peppers and herbs - a tasty alternative way to serve steak for a dinner party.
This recipe sees the dish prepared with herbs and served with oven roasted peppers.
What You Will Need
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons snipped fresh rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons snipped fresh basil
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 tablespoons of catsup
1 1/2 pounds of boneless sirloin steak, cut into cubes
1 inch thick fresh rosemary
Grilled sweet peppers
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
How to Do It
Arrange preheated coals around a drip pan in a covered grill. Test for medium heat above pan. Place the steak on the grill over the drip pan. Cover and grill for between 15 and 20 minutes, to taste.
While this is cooking, stir together the catsup, black pepper, rosemary, basil, garlic powder, and, if desired, cardamom. Coat both sides of the meat with your new mixture. Continue to grill the steak on an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for another 6 minutes.
Cut into serving-size pieces. Garnish with fresh rosemary and serve with generous portions of grilled sweet peppers. Add plenty of freshly ground black pepper, to taste.
Makes approximately 6 servings.
