Txt Messages From God?

Heavens above! Soon you'll be able to read a text message version of The Bible.

Teenager Anna Williams has converted passages of The Bible into text messages. The 14-year-old from Milton Keynes first gained fame by converting Psalm 23. There are now plans to publish a series of pocket-sized booklets called Txt Messages From God.

In text messaging, Psalm 23 reads: 'wiv da lord watchin ova me, i av everyfin i need. he calms my storms + lets me rest peacefuly'.

Anna told the London Evening Standard newspaper: "I was inspired by a book I bought to help me send text messages faster. I normally use up all my phone credit testing my friends on message speak, or sending pointless messages at a cost of 10p per time. It occurred to me that I should maybe put my credit to good use for once. We picked out passages which are especially relevant to other young people. Obviously, it's not meant to be a replacement for Bible reading, just a fun alternative."
