What do you look for when you're buying a house?

When looking at newly built property, the British have two things in mind - storage and insulation. According to a new Mori poll, 90% want a home to have an even temperature whatever the weather. Fear of having or being regarded as noisy neighbours make 94% of us look for good sound insulation in a new home.

Storage space is also a big issue when it comes to buying a new home. Be it in the attic or the basement, over 85% of those questioned looked for extra space.

Even when they're looking at a new home, British people are thinking about the next move. Over 90% of those surveyed said that they were looking for a property with a structure that would enhance its resale value.
