FCO Travel Updates

The FCO monitor and advise of the dangers - if any occur - of travelling and working in certain parts of the world on behalf of Britons living, working or planning to travel abroad.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) strongly recommend that all travelers ensure they have comprehensive travel insurance and consult their website for updates on the international situation - as regards certain destinations - before travelling.
The FCO has revised its travel advice for a number of countries in the Middle East in recent years but continues to warn British Nationals that there remains a high threat to British individuals and organisations in the region and that terrorist attacks could involve the use of chemical and biological materials.
The FCO currently advises against all travel to the following places:
Afghanistan
Albania
Azerbaijan
Burundi
Cameroon
Colombia
Comoros
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)
Eritrea
Ethiopia
Georgia
India
Indonesia
Iran
Iraq
Israel and the OPTs (Occupied Palestinian Territories)
Ivory Coast
Lebanon
Mali
Niger
Nigeria
Pakistan
Philippines
Russian Federation
Sri Lanka
Sudan
Uganda
In addition, unless engaged on essential business the FCO advises against travel to:

Central African Republic
Comoros
